06.06.26 - back from china!
hello! for the past couple of weeks i have been in china visiting various cities with my family. i haven't been back in the country since i was like, 4 years old? so it was great to visit again as a tangible adult! (even though spending time with no one but my family was incredibly draining LOL) some places we stopped by in were shanghai, shenzhen, zhuhai and macao! it was lowkey embarrassing as fuck being a chinese person not fluent in the language and knowing very little about the country OTL but i managed and had fun regardless!!! we ate sooo much good ass food for good ass prices i was particularly taken by the architechture ... worn-down, eco-brutalist, contemporary skyscrapers, neon signs, alongside traditional chinese architechture, the range was fascinating and beautiful! it all just felt very full and well-lived in which was nice... in contrast to desolate ass canada -_- towards the end of the trip i was starting to get really tired and homesick , but i ended up visiting shanghai's ffxiv hydaelyn cafe which completely reset my mood it was so cute and fun!! the food was decent and the decor was awesome. i also got a bunch of free little cards and coasters and stuff overall had a great time, very happy to have been granted an opportunity to go!!! but i am glad to be back haha.. so tired... but yaya that was richie in china. thank you for reading this! feeling: sleepy
